Fall 2020 Shows Return in October
Some changes and COVID-19 precautions should be anticipated

THE SHOWS RETURN! Round Top Mayor Bone and Fayette County Judge Weber have both approved the Fall Antique Show Events for October 15 through November 1, 2020. Venues are rapiding making plans for a safe and successful event. Venues with enclosed areas will have enhanced procedures to provide for healthy shopping and dining.

All hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, inns and Air B&B's are closed to travelers by order of Fayette County Judge. That includes all Round Top lodging until further notice.

Most restaurants in Round Top remain open for business with curb-side and delivery service.

Over the weekend of March 14/15 virtually all of the year-round business in Round top - Warrenton were open and operating business as usual. Today we are seeing a change in that as some of the businesses are starting to announce closures. By example the Junk Gypsy Company have closed their retail store until Wednesday, March 18 when they will reevaluate opening.

The La Bahia Antique Show has reversed course and announced that they too have cancelled their Spring Show. As of now, there are no Texas Antique Weeks shows that will be open during March/April 2020.
While none of the antique show operators will be hosting visiting vendors, local Round Top - Warrenton shops and restaurants will continue to be open for business.

La Bahia Antique Show announced via Twitter that they will be OPEN for the Spring Show, March 27th - April 4th. Unlike Shows in Round Top and Warrenton, La Bahia Hall is located on SH-237 across the county line in Washington County and is therefore not subject to the Fayette County order.

Shortly after 4:00 pm today Fayette County Judge Weber declared a local disaster and officially cancelled any and all activities and events associated with the 2020 Fayette County antique fair and show.

"Zapp Hall is carefully monitoring the ever changing situation including school closures, event cancellations and various mandates from around the state. We are concerned first and foremost for the health and will being of our dealers, customer and the entire community. We will make a definitive announcement by Monday, March 16th regarding the upcoming spring show. In the meantime, we will roll deposits to the fall for any of our dealers who wish to stay home during this time. Our prayers continue for everyone affected both physically and financially. Godspeed. We have received reliable information that The Compound (Round Top) will NOT be opening for the Spring Show. At this time this is the only show site that we have been able to confirm to be closed.

Fayette County Judge Weber announced that there are no immediate plans to close or limit the Round Top - Warrenton antique shows. Already hundreds of vendors are arriving and filling tents and show sites. Show operators have indicated their intent to continue with the shows as normal.
